Why RO: In the Know?

RO: In the Know is an online news site that seeks to provide relevant, timely, impactful and often entertaining information for the Red Oak Middle School community, and for the Red Oak Community at large.

RO: In the Know is the “house that Cristales built.”

Since its inception at the hands of former ROJH journalism adviser, Erin Cristales, RO: In the Know has been striving to be the premiere “go to” website for student news and views. Offering articles in print, podcasts and video news reports, RO: In the Know gives students opportunities to “learn by doing,” and showcase their journalistic writing and reporting skills for an authentic audience.

RO:In the Know has been recognized by the National Scholastic Press Association and University Interscholastic League for excellence in student journalism. The Cristales team blazed a trail for student journalists by creating a quality online news site. We are indebted to the Cristales family for their commitment to student journalism and for leaving a legacy of excellence.
