Review: Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension

S. Cook, Staff Writer

Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension makes for a fun movie to watch. It’s made for fans of the series and if you like the show you will love the movie.

The movie stars, of course Phineas and Ferb as well as Perry, Candice, and Doofensmirch. These characters do not disappoint with their voice acting (Although Ferb and Perry don’t talk much).

One of my favorite things about the movie is the world that is the “second dimension.”

The second dimension shows us what would happen if Doofensmirch  were a competent villain and wasn’t stopped by Agent P.  The effects on the world are catastrophic, leaving Phineas and Ferb as boring uncreative “normal kids”, making Agent P a mind-controlled robot, and forcing Candice to become a resistance fighter.

The ending is somewhat disappointing, but had to be done to keep the original formula of the TV show going. The story teaches about the virtue of creativity and how it makes the world what it is. Without it, it is completely lifeless and soulless.

The movie is made for fans of the show, so if you have seen the show this is a must watch.

But if you have yet to see the TV show you really won’t understand the dynamic too much. The movie might seem really average and may not be worth watching.

But if you haven’t seen the show I can’t recommend it enough. I give Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension an 8/10.
