Ruth Ryan, Technology and Leadership teacher at ROJH, is serving on the Medical Services team during the mock disaster drill. Ryan discussed her thoughts about the drill with “RO: In the Know.”
Q : What were your thoughts when you were selected for medical services?
A : I wonder if I can do it?
Q : How have you prepped for your role?
A : I take first-aid and CPR classes every single year. I have for the last 10 years.
Q : Are they weekly?
A : They are every summer
Q : Are you nervous?
A : No.
Q : Why do you think you were selected for medical services?
A : Because I work with the nurse [Nurse Kim Martin] a lot.
Q : What will be your strengths during the mock disaster?
A : Organization.
Q : What will be your weaknesses?
A : Not knowing what’s going to happen.
