Paranormal Experiences: Real or imagination?

Creaky doors, flickering lights, and dark shadows. Getting into the Halloween spirit, many people have encountered something scary or unusual. If you have had a paranormal experience before, keep reading for a treat- or trick.

Most 13 or 14-year-olds no longer believe in monsters such as the Boogeyman. An example of this is the story of Lisa Green, an eighth grader at Red Oak Middle School.

“One night I was cleaning my room, and the lights started flickering,” Green said.  “I heard someone coming down the hallway, but it was just my dog.”

Scary experiences can have a logical explanation, but few people’s experiences cannot be explained. Danielle Gomez, another eighth grader, was spending the night at her friend’s lake house. Her friend woke her up because she claimed to have heard footsteps going back and forth down the hallway. Her dog was in the room with them at the time. Danielle says the dog jumped off the bed and whimpered by the door.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, some scary stories of paranormal experiences are sure to send shivers down your spine.
