ROMS Honors Band victorious in UIL Varsity Contest

Staff reports

The award-winning ROMS band has done it again.

Students returned to campus wearing tuxedo shirts, black slacks, and walking with a pep in their step Thursday afternoon. The Honors Band competed before UIL judges on April 26, earning the rating of  “1”, and a Sweepstakes Award. Student musicians and band directors alike were ecstatic about the results.

“Their mature, energetic, inspiring performance is the most fun I have ever had at a contest,” Band director Megan Czerwieski said. According to Czerwieski, the students received numerous accolades and encouraging comments from the judges and others present for the contest.
