On the Right “Track”: Eating right starts NOW – even for kids

May 17, 2018
“When it comes to eating right and exercising, there is no “I’ll start tomorrow.” ‘Tomorrow‘ is a disease.”
— ~ Terri Guillemets
Allyson Felix is a 100m, 200m, 400m, 200m 2012 Olympic Champion, 3x world champion, and a 2x silver Olympic champion.
Ms. Felix said, “Try thinking of working out and healthy eating as a lifestyle. Rather than go on a diet or try a crazy exercise routine, try making them something you do everyday.”
When she said this I really felt it because it’s true, you are what you eat. I always have to eat healthy because I’m a elite athlete and I do sports every year, I run everyday. So I have to keep my body in shape and eat healthy. If I don’t eat healthy then I will run slow because my body isn’t getting the food it needs. I’m always eating fruits, protein packs, meat, because these are healthy choices. I know I can’t eat hot chips, drink soda, or anything else unhealthy because it slows me down.
I admit that I DO eat them sometimes because I just can’t help it — they’re sooo good. But whenever I eat the “other” food I don’t do so well at practice. That’s why I try to stay to my routine and eat healthy so I can do good at practice –and in competition — and feel healthy.
What are you willing to do to stay at the top of YOUR game?

This is very inspiring and makes me want to work harder to become a better athlete. Very good work.
