Guns: They protect us, yet they can also harm us, and resolving this issue is a responsibility problem for the American people.

Since Americans have the right to bear arms, they should use this for the greater good. Guns should be used to protect yourself, not harm anything or anyone. Americans have always stood for the idea that the people we elect will protect us, and they are there to protect our rights and fight for our freedoms. But they are not the only people who should be doing the right thing at all times.

For example, if a friend of yours says that they are going to go and gun down 50 people tomorrow, you should not sit there and do nothing. You should report it to the police so that they can get it taken care of and innocent people won’t die. This is called making good moral choices, which means setting a high standard for yourself and going by it strictly.

Guns can be very helpful, and can even prevent crime. For instance, if you are in a situation where there is someone who just broke into your house and is trying to steal from you, if you have a gun then they probably won’t do anything to you. On the other hand, if you can’t protect yourself then you may end up with harm done to you. This is how guns can be helpful and protect you, but you must be able to handle the pressure of actually using a weapon because it’s nothing to take lightly.

The Second Amendment says that we have the right to bear arms. Our forefathers said this because if times arose where the government infringed upon our basic rights then we could do something about it. In many incidents during history, dictators and rulers would take away the firearms from the people and then start their unlimited rule over the country. Our fathers knew this would happen, which was the reason they gave us the right to bear arms. Our Second Amendment is a gift and we should use it wisely. We should take up the responsibility of doing what is right with the guns we do or don’t own.

In the end, it falls on us all to share the responsibility so that we will all be safer and happier.
