Students, parents and staff participated in the mock disaster drill Friday, practicing drills such as external lockdown and evacuation. Nearly 900 students and staff evacuated the building, piling into buses and heading to Red Oak High School. According to administrators and Red Oak ISD Police Chief Scott Lindsey, the drill was largely a success, though Principal Cristi Watts said it is important for teachers to work on accountability in the future.
