Golden State sets new regular season win record

The Golden State Warriors journey to 73 wins is complete, as the team beat the Memphis Grizzlies 125-104 on April 13.

The NBA regular season win record was previously set during the 1995-96 season by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and the rest of the Chicago Bulls.

Before the Warriors/Grizzlies game, the great Jordan told Warriors guard Klay Thompson “Go ahead and break the record.”

And that they did, behind Curry’s 46 points along with 10 three’s.

Here’s what Jordan had to say.

“I want to congratulate the Warriors on their amazing season. The game of basketball is always evolving and records are made to be broken. The Warriors have been a lot of fun to watch, and I look forward to seeing what they do in the playoffs.”

Even throughout everyone debating which team is better, and even though this is a great achievement, the only thing on Jordan’s and Curry’s mind is the playoffs and if Golden State can make it back-to-back titles.
