Sixth grader Terrance Voluntad emerged as the last student standing at the Red Oak Middle School spelling bee, which took place Jan. 12 in the ROMS cafeteria.

More than 30 students competed in grades 6-8. Sixth grader Jayli Feeley came in second, while sixth grader Ayden Stanley came in third.
