The 8th grade volleyball A team will take part in a tournament this Saturday, Oct. 10, ahead of their upcoming matches on Oct. 22 against Lancaster, Oct. 29 against Corsicana and Nov. 5 against Ennis.

The B team placed third at a district tournament that took place Oct. 3.

“I think the season is going well,” Coach Andrea Fanning said. “The girls are working hard and learning the game. The B team had a great showing at the district tournament last weekend. I am excited for the A team to play this weekend in their district tournament.”

The Oct. 15 game against Mansfield Howard was canceled, due to Mansfield dropping out of Red Oak’s district.
