Top 10 upcoming games of 2015

Mohamed Abumerhi, Arts & Entertainment Reporter

Last year was without a doubt a letdown for gaming, but 2015 is here to redeem the genre.

Here is my list of the top 10 upcoming video games of 2015.

10. “Until Dawn”: This PlayStation exclusive brings back classic horror along with different gameplay and is sure to give you chills. Great graphics, jump scares, and everything you look for in a horror game.

9. “Just Cause 3”: After months of only rumors, we are now assured and given a trailer that “Just Cause 3” is going to release. Everyone misses causing havoc, and now we get to go back and play as Rico Rodriguez for the third time in the series.

8. “Call of Duty: Black Ops III”: The only reason why this game is not higher on the list is because we don’t have any information about it yet, as well as the major letdowns of the past two games. But I am sure that this will definitely be in the top five games of the year.

7. Tom Clancy’s The Division: This upcoming open world third person shooter game is definitely going to be huge in the gaming industry. Due to Tom Clancy’s heart attack, we only have two games left from his very successful franchise. And this one is sure to be amazing.

6. The Walking Dead Season 3: The first and second game almost made us form tears; I am sure number three is here to do the same exact thing. These emotional zombie apocalypse video games are filled with zombie bashing as well as extremely emotional parts. These 10/10 games are finally getting a third one.

5. Batman Arkham Knight: The last game in the “Batman Arkham” franchise is unfortunately ending, but Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros are still going to give us an amazing game. We are finally not going to have the Joker as our main villain — it’s time for Scarecrow to shine. This game is definitely going to set the bar high for superhero games in 2015.

4. Mad Max: This other PlayStation exclusive starts you out with nothing. Not your car, your family, not even your life. All you have left to build up is your will to survive. You will encounter many dangers. You can take those on by building up your car and with your brutal combat.

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Three years since the release date of “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception,” we get to go back and play as Nathan Drake.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Even though we have had several “Metal Gear Solid” games where we were told by Konami that it was our last game, this actually might be it. But Solid Snake is back in action. We will be able to sneak, kill and hide under boxes one last time. This game isn’t even out, and it’s shouting “Game of the Year” already.

1. Assassin’s Creed Victory: The eighth game in this series is set in England during the Victorian era. Although we don’t know much of anything about this game, we might be able to meet characters like Jack The Ripper. We also will receive our signature hidden blade along with a new tool, a grappling hook. You will fight on the streets of England, as well as on buildings and on trains. Many people disliked “Assassin’s Creed Unity,” but Ubisoft will likely not disappoint us again.
