Symphonic bands win top UIL prize
Symphonic Bands I and II took home top honors at their UIL performance April 9 and 10.

ROJH’s Symphonic I and Symphonic II bands received UIL Sweepstakes, which is UIL’s highest award, at Region 20 UIL on April 9 and 10.
“I was nervous when we were performing,” 8th grader Stefani Little, who plays French horn, said.
The performance was the band’s last competition for the school year.
“I was a little scared at first, but then I realized that it was our last competition, and that’s I started crying tears of joy,” 8th grader Daisy Trujillo, who plays the flute, said.
