‘GTA V’ truly a masterpiece

Five years after the release of “Grand Theft Auto IV,” the hype for “Grand Theft Auto V” is finally over. And now, after an extra year of waiting, we have the game for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game now offers updated graphics, new weapons, vehicles, and now the option to play in first person.

Throughout the “Grand Theft Auto” series, we’ve only had the option to play as one character. However, in “Grand Theft Auto V,” you now play as three characters: a street hustler named Franklin, a psychopath named Trevor, and an extremely wealthy retired criminal named Michael. As you switch out between the characters, you will probably start showing favoritism to one of them.

You get to switch between these three characters and complete their missions. As you progress, the three characters become a team. Some of your choices will affect you later in the game depending on who you play as the most and who you side with. For example, if you play as Michael, you try to make extra money while also staying a family man.

There is so much to do in this game, whether it’s darts, arm wrestling, golf, or just robbing random stores. You can also hunt, free roam and use cheat codes such as explosive punch, invincibility, and moon gravity.

Of course, one of the most important parts of “GTA V” next gen is the first person. Now you can see the giant map in a stunning first person point of view. If you are a “Call of Duty” fan and used to shooting in first person, this option is definitely for you.

Either way, this game is going to be fun for many years to come, and if it weren’t for the release of “The Last of Us,” this game would definitely have won E3 game of the year. Although I can’t wait for the release of the next “Grand Theft Auto” in 2018, I still enjoy what Rockstar Games gave us for right now. “Grand Theft Auto V” is definitely a masterpiece.
