UPDATE: Eighth grader Jett Grayson will move on the next round of the Scripps competition. Eighth grader Natalie Bonneau is the alternate.

During second period Thursday morning, the annual Scripps Spelling Bee will be held in the cafeteria. Approximately 40 students signed up to participate in this event, but there will only be one winner and one alternate to advance to the next round. Seventh and 8th graders were both able to sign up.
